iTunes 12 Cant edit

anyon here got any ideas why song titles and playlists etc etc cant be edited? im trying to edit names and albums and names of playlists but i cant seem to!

Yes, same here. This is very disappointing. I shall try to put the iTunes 11 back on.

@David:

Not sure what you mean by can't edit? I can still edit the song title, playlist, and other options as before. The new iTunes is definitely different from version 11 but as far as I can see, everything that I used before is still there, albeit with more difficulty.

Agreed, takes a little bit of navigation to find stuff but I am able to Edit song, title, playlist etc.
What I cant work out is how to resize columns in the My Music View since there don't seem to be any lines. I have Column Browser on but the disc number column is off the screen while the Album column is so big it takes up most of the display even though it's mostly empty. Any suggestions on this?:Confused:

(rod later worked out how to resize the columns, but didn't mention it in this thread)

As for the editing thing -- its all still there and works as before.

Like was said it's all there just sometimes in a different place. Many things I at first thought were missing were there after I clicked around on everything.

Things have moved in the past but we all just got used to the new location. Same will happen with new iTunes!

To be honest, I just saw the titles / text on a solid background in Get Info, rather than within editable bars as in v.11, didn't actually try to click on names / titles, etc ...

Anyway, it's all gone now, so can't check - 11.4 is back and I'm happy.

As this machine is 4.5yrs old, at some point it has to be locked out of future upgrades, might as well be now - it's fast (faster than, when it was brand new, in fact), I love the interface and have no issues at all :Cool: Lets keep it that way ;P

editing is EXTREMELY important in iTunes, Beethoven wrote his violin concerto, not Hilary Hahn, as iTunes insists. good luck peeps!
