first, I love my MAC..After 25 plus years on a PC-dos, no name I have felt lost on the Apple. ITUNES..simple question , no simple answers.
#1-How do I delete music from library. The check and blank game is confusing.
I guess I hit the wrong button and deleted all 500 songs to trash (didn't empty)
..Can I get those out of trash and back to library?
I was trying to place a new album in a new name folder and all of a sudden everything disappeared. - How do you place music in special folders.

Select the tracks and press delete. You'll be asked if you want to remove the tracks just from the library of if you want to delete them from disk and put them in the trash

You can open the trash and restore them to put them back where they were on disk but that won't add them to the library. To do that I'd show the sidebar in iTunes then drag the tracks from the trash to the Music library in the iTunes sidebar. Unless you've changed the default preferences this will copy the music into appropriate folders and add them to the library.

When using iTunes I would strongly advise against managing the folders yourself. Let iTunes do that. Add and remove all music through the iTunes interface.

And if the "special folder" was to combine songs/albums, use Playlist instead. I use that to create a Christmas music mix, for example.
