I recently purchased a new MBPro Retina 13". But I've been unable to find a definitive answer to this question: Is there a suitable SSD to upgrade my Early 2015 MBPro Retina Display 13"?

Any help would be awesome. I'm not in a huge rush and 128gb works for now. I'd much rather do the upgrade myself than pay Apple almost 1gb/$1 for storage.

No. They don't use SSDs in the meaning of "a Solid State Drive which has an understood form factor and connection." Retina MacBook Pros uses proprietary flash modules. I know one company, OWC, who has managed to come up with third party flash storage for the OLDER models, but not the new stuff.

Also note that any tinkering with the flash storage will void the warranty entirely.

You can always use an external SSD if you want or need to now assuming your MBPro is one of the latest models. But I'm sure you already knew that. ;)

As member "S.SubZero" stated in his reply, your flash storage is proprietary and any tinkering with it voids your warranty or Apple Care. You should have ordered more flash storage when you bought the machine. Nowadays, 128GB is great storage for an iPhone or iPad but not a MacBook Pro.
