Is there a problem with GMail IMAP today?

All of a sudden around 11am today I can't check GMail on my iPhone. I get the "username or password incorrect" badge that pops up. I can launch Safari and get on to GMail mobile that way, but not using the Mail app.

I even tried re-typing in the password, rebooting the phone, nothing works. Just curious if this is happening to anybody else before I dive into it a little deeper. Two other accounts I have on the iPhone work fine, one is Exchange ActiveSync and the other is an IMAP account.

Note, I can send from the GMail account in iPhone Mail just fine which is strange because I believe it uses outgoing authentication.

I'm having the same problem with my iMac running Snow Leopard. Even POP doesn;t work.

Well, never mind my post. I came home to find my iMac had been stuck on syncing with GMail via IMAP and was in a continuous look, using up my bandwidth limit for the day. I can log on just fine now.

Have you looked at your Console log to see if there are any entries that might help you troubleshoot? It's in the Applications > Utilities folder.
