Is there a new macbook coming out soon?

I currently own an imac 17" Intel core duo and am thinking of buying the basic macbook with combo drive as I only really need it to surf the web and use adobe cs3 and Office 2004. What I am wondering is if there is a new macbook on the horizon and if it is wise to buy one with just the combo drive. Any help would be appreciated.

theres rumours of a new 12" apple laptop coming out soon.
