I've been readying my old iMac on the fly for a week now and made decent progress moving files to my new iMac. Got all my fonts saved to a portable HDD, a few apps that I like, and I'm getting close to the point where I can purge the old iMac's HDD and reinstall OS X. Never done this before so its a new adventure LOL. When I finish, I'm OK with the system booting up as a plain jane fresh install, as I'm not including any software other than what's normally on a iMac. I assume that I'll have to demonstrate the machine to anyone interested and that requires an OS right? A new buyer could reset it all over and start from scratch. One question... what OS will it reinstall, the original late 2007 OS or the current ElCapitan? If anyone has any links to an easy-to-understand How-To I'd appreciate it. Likewise, any advice on pre-purge or post-purge tips/tricks are welcome as well. TIA... Mike
