Hi. I accidently jacked my volume all the ways up on my ipod. I noticed a slight distortion in the sound. Is this a result of the headphones or is the distortion from the ipod, and if so can you harm the ipod by putting the volume all the ways up.
Thanks

I think, it's the headphones. I have cranked up my iPod to the max many many times without distortion, with of course good headphones. Some headphones that I have used make the iPod not sound all the great, when turned up loud. I have plugged my iPod into many speakers, and some do a horrible job with volume turned up really loud, with lots of distortion. And some speakers handle any volume setting I throw at it with the use of my iPod very nicely. Have you tried plugging the headphones into something else, you'll surely find out that way.
