Ipod Touch iOS4 wallpaper?

MacBook 2.4GHz/ 4GB ram/ 250GB HDD, 2nd Gen 16GB ipod touch, 64GB + 3G iPad
I was under the impression that with the new OS, we could set photos as wallpaper on the screens...not just the lock screen. I've tried to set some pictures, but they only show up on the lock screen. Am I doing something wrong, or did I just misunderstand the whole "wallpaper" thing?

That feature is not supported on second gen iPod touches.
