Hi and welcome to the Forums.

MightyGem's question is highly pertinent, but in addition it would help if we knew what Mac you have, how old, which OS you are running and—what if anything were you doing at the time the library vanished? Were you using iPhoto at the time for example? Had you downloaded any third party apps which interact with iPhoto?

Also, under PLACES:
I have a subdirectory that holds several folders named IPhoto Library Recovered Photos

Thanks.

I was in Firefox browser getting ready to update an album I was currently working on.

Now:
In IPhoto, the only things I see are:
under LIBRARY:
Events 5 photos
Photos 7 photos
Faces 0
Places 0
under RECENT:
Dec 24, 2011 2 photos
Last 12 months 0
Last Import 1 photo
Flagged 0
Trash 0
Also, under PLACES:
I have a subdirectory that holds several folders named IPhoto Library Recovered Photos
but in looking at these, they seem to be earlier photos and not the large amount of photos for 2013, 2014 & 2015 to date.

I am using photos from the Album I am working on to build Home site.
Godaddy Website Builder 7.0.181 liked Firefox better than Safari, so I switched to it. Started having some problems like for instance, OSX Geonei C popped up and my Sophos Anti-Virus seemed to deal with it finally and get rid of it. Things seemed to calm down, then this....

Any Ideas ?

An answer to that question could be useful.

Do you mean that all is well and problem gone? If so, please tell us how you solved it because others searching the Forum with a similar difficulty would value your feedback.
