Iphoto is in the trash

On my mac 10.6.8 , I get the error statement "You can't open the application iphoto because it is in the trash. To open this application, move it from the Trash." I have tried several times to remove everything from the trash that starts with Iphoto ? Still does not work. What do I need to do ?

Is your iPhoto program in the Trash or not? Anything in the Trash should be able to be removed and put back where it was before.

And have you doubled clicked on Trash to see what is precisely in it?
