I had no idea that there was any way to get the iPhone equalizer to adjust the sound other than the regular equalizer, and that did not work for audible books.I was so concerned about my ability to adjust the highs and lows that I replaced my Apple phone with an android phone some time ago. It does not have this restriction and, interestingly enough, the android Audible app provides more control over playback than the IOS version.
