iphone 6 with both cdma and gsm

i have an android phone now and am with verizon. contract already ended. can i get a unlocked iPhone 6 from apple store or verizon that has both cdma and gsm capabilities? and have verizon activate the phone.

No. The only unlocked iPhone 6 and 6+ that Apple will sell you for now is the T-Mobile iPhone which is unlocked but contains a T-Mobile sim card which can easily be removed with a paper clip. The T-Mobile phone is GSM only.

The Verizon iPhone is a dual phone - works with both CDMA and GSM. However, in order to work with GSM a sim card is required. My understanding is that Verizon iPhones are already unlocked. (iPhone 5, 5c, 5s and the 6)
