iPhone 6 running iOS 11.0.3 When recording video with the Apple headset, the audio is recorded through the iPhone's internal microphone instead of the headset's microphone. I noticed this issue when using a headphone jack adapter that should have allowed me to send audio from a different source into the iPhone. When using this device (iRig), the iPhone would record audio only using it's built in, internal microphone and not the audio coming through the adapter into the iPhone's headphone jack. This is driving me crazy. I even went so far as to replace the headphone/lightning port assembly in the iPhone. Still having the same issue. That made me think it was a software issue. Maybe somehow iOS 11 is doing something to cause this, since the newer phones don't have headphone jacks. Maybe it's an oversight. An unforeseen problem for iPhone 6 users upgrading to iOS 11 (didn't even realize I was updating to the iOS 11 when I did. I had just repaired the broken screen of this phone. When I connected it to set it up and restore it, I didn't think about upgrading to the newest software. I do not have this problem with my iPhone 6s Plus. Works fine using the Apple headset or the iRig. What in the world is going on? Any suggestions? I can't find info on this problem anywhere on the inter-webs. I tried creating a thread on the Apple Discussion site, but it wouldn't load for some reason. Mac-forums... you're my only hope.
