Hi everyone,

Was wondering what I could get for a iPhone 3gs, Bought in July 2009.

Its the 32gb model, white.

Its like in mint condition, no physical flaws. Would it be enough for a macbook???

Let me know what some people think its worth.. I see them go on ebay for 600-700 dollars...

It really depends on whether or not it's unlocked or unlockable.
If it's already been updated to 3.1.3 then plan on taking a big hit.

I will say if it's unlocked or unlockable,You could probably fetch $600 to $700 for it.

Since it's been updated to 3.1.3 and there are no current unlocks for 3.1.3
The phone will be pretty useless to anyone who wants to unlock it. It will most likely sell for less than $600. Your best bet would be to put it on Ebay and see what you can get.

Wait, you want to sell a used phone, one that you can get for $299 for as much as a $1049 laptop?

Why don't you just unlock it? Isn't it free or is the software not unlockable yet?

Right now there is no software available to unlock 3.1.3 and it doesn't seem anyone is working on an unlock right now either.

i dont want to deal with it, plus there is the issue of it bricking at any given moment and i dont want to mess with it... Plus when 4.0 comes out i dont want to have to wait for a jailbreak for it... i want it right now :) lol

You don't have to worry about bricking it, That was an issue with 1st generation iPhone back in 2007. It rarely happens any more.
Your probably better off keeping it and waiting for 4.0 in the meantime just save up for a used Macbook.
