They can provide more detailed guidance and help troubleshoot the issue."</p><p></p><p>As time consuming and annoying as it may be I tend towards the solution above; Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout. I have had to do this a few times myself over the years due to problems caused by restoring my device from a backup of a previous device (also mentioned above).</p><p></p><p>What it will do is put all your apps into Alphabetical order with the native apps on the first desktop/s. It also removes any folders you may have created.</p><p>As you have already spent a lot of time on this one more time might not be too bad as in my experience this method always works.</p><p>At least after the process you will know where everything is (alphabetically), albeit maybe not where you want them.</p><p></p><p>The second time I did it. I quickly put all but the most used apps into the Library; just press and hold an app then select Remove then Remove from Home Screen, this puts it in the Library. </p><p>Then slowly re added the ones I wanted to my Home Screen again from the Library by pressing and holding the app in the Library and choosing Add to Home Screen. Then you can drag it where you want it.</p><p></p><p>This means you're up an running with all of your most important apps straight away and can take your time re adding the others.
