I know that I keep bringing this up but is Apple ever going to introduce transit options into Maps? I want to like it but without transit, it's little more than an icon for those of us who don't own cars.

I noticed this gem on this release notes:
Addresses an issue where some devices disconnect intermittently from Wi-Fi networks
I've noticed that iOS (mostly on my phone) will disconnect randomly for no reason at the college I teach at (whereas my iPad doesn't do it at all). Here's hoping that this fixes this.

The lack of Transit is really inexcusable. I guess Apple thinks everyone drives? There are some cities where driving is not a good way to get around... can you say New York City, Tokyo, Washington DC, and many other large cities throughout the world?

One big plus for the 8.3 update is the restoration of normal battery life. I noticed that right away after undergoing a full charge last night and 12 hours later still have 95% battery life. Whereas before the update, I would have around 75% and have to re-charge in another 8 to 12 hours.

I've noticed that TouchID has become a little frustrating - it seems to miss the first attempt once in a while (when it's usually spot on). Here's hoping that this is just temporary.

I haven't seen this on my iPad Air 2. If you go into the Touch ID menu and where you have the list of fingers, touch each of the listed fingers and watch the Name Plate area activate. Good way to see how often or quick they register without closing and trying to open with Touch ID.

I didn't know that you could do this! Thanks.

I've noticed a little bit of that as well but my issues seem to be limited mostly to the lock screen.

Some "improvements" present some amusing options, if that's the right adjective. While scrolling through the Emoji keyboard I discovered that there are skin tones available, for example ???????. I'm sure someone will like this?

I thought as much, but knowing you, if there was some correlation, then you would be the one to drop in a Bug Report for it

This was leaked some time ago, but I did see on CoM, where someone made a Spock ?Emoji, and then the different skin tones, and add it as a extra Keyboard . . . Too funny (the Spock Emoji not the tones) :0

Is anyone having issues with this new keyboard? I have found if I use an emoji it locks my screen and it won't switch back to the letter keyboard. I made a post a few days ago but no input. Any help would be appreciate! I've hard booted, I've restored old back ups and it made me upgrade to the new 8.3 anyway, and still the same issues. HELP

No, not on any of my devices, or the 5 others in the house. All Emoji keyboards work fine, and move back to the Default keyboards ok.

You didn't mention on what device this is ??

It is an iPhone 5. I have restored an old back up 4 times, then had to upgrade as it wouldn't let me keep my old version :( . It worked fine for a 1.5 days after the 3rd restore. But then started messing up again the more I used the emoji's. After the 4th restore I just disabled the emoji keyboard. That is the ONLY way I can keep it working. I talked to a friend of mine who said her phone was doing this BEFORE the new update. Which I find odd that I never had the problem until the new update. I am perplexed. I've tried to call Apple but their is always a LOOOONG hold time. Not sure what to do except to go to Apple, and not sure when I will get time for that. Anyone have any ideas? :'(

Well the iPhone will be out of warranty, so I doubt if Apple will tell you much, and will say they have never heard of the issue either.
The best thing is too keep it off (we don't really need Emoji's anyway) and next time you are near a store, pop in and show them first hand.
I live 400Km's from nearest Store, and I always go in saying I have just driven 6 hrs and I'm not leaving until a Genius has seen me, and they always succumb to my will lol
Really thats all I can offer. you can try downloading a App that has Emoji's (they won't be Apple Emoji's, but at least you will have some to play with) and install that and use them for now. Thats about all you can do until you see Apple.

  1. Free Emoji ~ Keymoji
  2. Free Emoji ~ Emoji Keyboard 2
  3. Free Emoji ~ Emoji Free - Emoticons Art and Cool Fonts
  4. Free Emojis ~ Emoticons & Emoji Keyboard
  5. List of Emojis for iOS

The top most result looks the most promising . . .
