I got a chance to ask a few questions to Phil Dow, the developer of Journler.

1. What gave you the idea for Journler ?

A couple of years ago I regularly kept a personal blog. At one point I unintentionally offended someone and because of that decided to stop blogging. At the same time I wanted to continue journaling. I thought to take my journal offline and began looking for a good Macintosh journaling program. I couldn’t find one I liked and thought to myself, “hey, I can write my own!” I’ve recently started blogging again, but I’ve been using Journler for as long as I’ve been developing it.
