I am running a Mac pro 2009, Yosemite 10.10.2 with Indesign CS6. I am trying to print a booklet using 8.5 x 11 paper, fold only to a Canon iR ADV 5240 UFR II copier/printer. It is not a postscript printer (that was an extra add-on!)
I can print from word and excel. I can print a single page to it from Indesign on both sides. What I can not do is select print booklet and have it fold it in half using 8.5 x 11 paper.
I have posted this on the appropriate Adobe Indesign forum but for some reason I can not make anyone understand I do not want the 11x17 size. It seems that is very desirable for most and it seem to be a problem for most. Not me!!! I can not figure this out.
When I use Indesign in Windows, I have to go to the print booklet printer setup and indicate I want it to use the application settings and not the printer settings. I can not find the same feature on any setup page in the Mac version. I am fairly sure this is the problem.
Any ideas? Suggestions? Magic incantations?
Lisa
