I should have looked into this long ago, before I loaded almost 15,000 songs onto my laptop, but can someone tell me the differences between the importing settings for iTunes?
I believe the default was AAC / 128 kbps. I have no idea what the differences are between AAC, AIFF, apple lossless, etc.
Also, I'm thinking that since I prefer to hear the music as cleanly as possible, I should have recorded at 192 kbps instead of 128. Is there much noticieable difference?
And how much more space would the music take up if I was to re-import everything at a higher quality? Right now I believe the 15,000 songs are taking up about 60GB.
