My 12-year-old was just given an ibook running version 10.2.1 with iMovie. He's trying to edit some skateboard footage that is on a DVD. But we can't seem to import the DVD, which is on the desktop. It doesn't show up in the Import File window, even though it's clearly sitting right on the desktop. What do I do to get iMovie to recognize the DVD as an importable file? Suggestions anyone?
