imic problems with cubase sx

im having a terrible time trying to get imic to work with cubase sx.
it's usb.
i keep getting errors when i select the devices in cubase... either says my AISO is not their ... or that i am missing a record file. i don't really understand what i should be doing or trying to get.

does imic even work with cubase sx?



currently running: imac/osx2.1 jaguar
