Imail how do I set a default sort?

So I'm a new Mac user, one whole day so far...

I have my Imail sorting messages by date recieved but it sorts them so the new ones are on the bottom. I'd prefer them to sort so the new messages are at the top as default. Is ther a way to do that. I've looked and maybe I'm missing something.

Single click on 'Date Received' will change the sorting.

yeah, but I don't want to have to do that every time. I know it'll stay that way till I close the application, but I want it to do that automatically.

That's all you have to do. It will remember which way you have it selected.


And friendly FYI: The app is just called Mail, there's no iMail.

Ok, so it's working right now. Not sure why it wigged out on me for a bit.

I have a similar problem but cannot figure out the solution. I have nine (9) email accounts in Mail. All of the are set to sort the same way - new emails at the bottom. All but one account operate correctly but one defaults to the oldest email even thought its set to sort the other way. If I change the sort the new email will show first at the top but that's not what I want. Does anyone have any suggestions?
