iMac Storage Statistics

I have a late 2009 27 imac. I am trying to find out how much storage I have left, and how much im using. I saw a video online that told me to click about this mac, more info, and storage. But this 2009 mac doesnt have any options to click when i click more info.
HOW DO I FIND OUT HOW MUCH STORAGE I AM USING, because id like to delete all the files i am not using.

Hello - you did not mentioned which OS X is installed on your computer which may impact on my suggestion - but you should have a 'Disk Utility' app (look in Finder -> Applications -> Utilities folder) or type the app's name into Spotlight (if available to you).

Once opened, click on your hard drive's partition - see the attached screen capture of my SSD on a MBPro - the blue arrow points to the storage information you want - hope this helps. Dave

@cvtaylor81: Many many folks come to Mac-Forums for help. Can you imagine how confusing things would get if everyone entitled their thread "Please Help". I'm sure you could have come up with a MUCH better thread title.

It depends on the version OS X you are running, too. If it's Yosemite (and I think Mavericks), when you click on About This Mac there should be some buttons at the top of the resulting popup banner. One of those is labeled "Storage" and shows all the drives with a simplistic analysis of what's on the drive and how much space is left.
