iMac not showing files on a burned DVD or CD

My iMac is not seeing files on a dvd or a cd I burned. I got a copy from my university of Microsoft Office. This is legal. But it is a burned copy. I gave them a dvd to burn. But when I brought it home my iMac wouldn't see the files.

I put the dvd back in a pc and it showed the files. So I then burned a cd. It too would not show up on my iMac. It would show that there was less space on the disk then a totally blank disk. But it wouldn't show the dmg files. I don't know what to do. I need word.

Thanks,

it was burnt with explorer on a pc. It doesn't show the dmg at all , so I can't mount it. It will only show in the properties window that there is less space than the full 700MB on a CD. Someone help.

I'm fairly certain that he's worked it out by now... this thread hasn't had any action for over two years. ;);D
