imac no boot

I have an orignal Blonde BLue iMac. I installed OS X Panther on it install went fine but when I restart I get the folder with the question mark. I also made sure my startup disk was my OS X install but still won't boot. Any Ideas?

I tired all that no dice. BTW the Resetting PRAM don't work. I hold the keys and nuttin happens.
