I am replacing the display on a 2015 iMac 21.5". I believe it had a 1.8ghz processor and the replacement/upgrade is also a 2015 iMac 21.5" but with a 2.8ghz. Anyways everything lines up and looks identical, installed great, and then when I went to reconnect the display I ran into what appears to be a major snag. The new connector for LCD is slightly larger (about 1/4 inch) than the old connector. I am guessing that the larger ribbon is for a retina display? Can someone let me know what the best solution to this is. Should I just order new logic board or order a new display? The glass on this model does have a slight chip in it. The original is approximately 3/4" connection and new is approx 7/8"
