First thing, try a restart. since you only have 8GB memory, you may want to restart your iMac once a week, depending on task and usage. Next, look for a memory upgrade kit, either 8GB or 16GB, your choice, again depending on tasks and usage. Crucial and OWC (Mac Sales) are the most recommended and reputable Mac accessory shops from this forum.

I'd suggest doing a full Shutdown instead, wait at least 30-40 seconds and then Bootup, rather than just Restarting. It does more purging and cleanup that way.

Also the " processes killed due to insufficient RAM" note is sure suspicious. But not too sure of what all was running.

PS: When did the slowdown start or was noticed???

It has been sluggish for a while. I am a graphic designer and I have at least three Adobe programs open at all times. Thanks for your help.

I'm sure you'll appreciate the improvement with the additional memory, and most Adobe products and many graphics apps work a lot better with lots of memory available. AND lots of free available drive space to work with.

You are using at least bone USB2 hub connected to your iMacs USB3 port/s. Things may go better with a USB3 hub.

I see you are a "power user." Many apps, plugins, login items. You should look at the etrecheck output for things you no longer use, and figure out how to delete them.
Two specific examples that seem problematic on your machine - Dolly Drive (Cirrus Thinking) and VG Connect. Do you still use them?

I was trying to figure out how to delete OnDemand/VG Connect. I saw it using a lot of space in the Activity Monitor. I have to keep Dolly Drive though as it is backing up my computer.
