Just purchased a new MAC desktop switching from PC. No iDVD as I'm told Apple have now withdrawn it. Any ideas how to burn a iPhoto slideshow to a DVD ?

I still show burn (make a disc) in iPhoto under share when in slideshow.

So do I, but I can't get it to turn active.

Did try the Export / Slideshow option which creates a m4v file - you can then right click on the file and select Burn "your video" to disc. I have no idea if that will create a disc playable in a standalone DVD player or not though and have no DVD burner on my MBA.

This quite literally bites the big bullit that all of the Apple tutorials tell you to use iDVD which does not exist on any new Mac sold in the last couple of months and can only be gotten by paying for the iLife suite you already have on your machine in the retail disc version.
