iCloud failure to send verification email

I'm trying to set up my iCloud.
iCloud preferences tell me that my account is not verified, and I should click the button that says 'Resend verification Email' which will give instructions for verifying the account. I have clicked that button many times and do not get an email!! How else can I verify the account?

Have you checked your junk email folder?

Have you tried a different email address?

Are you certain the email address is valid (spelling etc)?

Yep, I checked the spam/junk
No, I haven't tried another email as I don't have one.
Yep, it is the right spelling etc.
I've just sent the message again to iCloud and it says to check my email..................zilch again.

We are having the same issue. Uninstall iCloud and try again?
