OK grin... I upgraded to Yosemite today.
Everything works and I do like the Safari new look, less clutered.
But everything is flat, I agree with all the comments about how it looks.

I upgraded for the iCloud compatablity.
And that seem to work fine.

You mean the quotes about how smooth and beautiful it all is? Yes, I agree! The faux-3D and the skeuomorphism wasn't really working well in many instances (there were a few places I didn't mind it). The subtle shadows are all the "3D" I think is needed. I could do with a little less white space in some instances, but as with Aqua I have no doubt that will get smoothed out a bit as time goes by.
