Evidently, if you put a non Maxtor drive into a OneTouch firewire enclosure the Maxtor firmware changes the Logical Block Address (LBA) to 128gb on drives equal to or larger than 128gb.

Before I was enlightened… I had already tried 2 drives in the enclosure, a 250gb western digital (that contains 180gb of data) and a new 320gb western digital drive. Now, both drives have the LBA set to 128gb and I've not been able to find a utility to reset it.

Any ideas?

Never mind… I was able to a utility to reset the LBA
