I Need HELP!!!

I opened up a jpg in quick time, then copy and pasted it into a quark blank page, but when I did, the resolution changed on my computer, making it impossible to get the right settings back. Anyone have any ideas what I can do??

What makes it impossible? Is it 640x480?

it's hard to explain what I mean. The resolution can still be set.. but the overall appearance is messed up. LIke when I bring up a picture in Photoshop...the picture is weird looking...and all my fonts have shadows , and are had to read on the screen. Is that making sense?

can you post a screenshot? (shift+command+3 - whole screen, shift+command+4 - section)

The Mac is at work. Im at home.
I do notice that when I restart the computer, I see the screen come on...then suddently it sort of 'flickers' and thats when it changes.
