I have the same glitch

When I got back to my camera I also get glitches and do not know hwat to do. I have 10.2.8 and iMovie 3.0.3. I have trying to go back to a canon GL1. I have used several different tapes and also tried to go from my external drive which is a 7400 rmp 80 gig firewire unit by Que. I am lost
