i could have swore that this has been posted before. I got home and i networked my pc and my iBook. I can see all the shared files on the PC. the iBook shows up in network neighborhood on the PC, but when i go to open it, it says that i do not have permission. i have turned file-sharing. what could be the problem? also, i can see the printer, also shared from the PC, and i was able to get it to show up in the print menu for text editor. I tried to print, but nothing ever came out. any ideas?

on the mac, in printer setup, what is it set as? also, note that in the pages, it says n/a, make sure you enter an amount of pages to be printed and see if thats not it, I know it sounds stupid, but its possible, not that you're stupid.

home is the name of the shared printer. nothing looks wrong. the exclamation mark is because the computer that has the printer on it is currently off.

i think i have it figured out. i am going to have to hook the printer up to the iBook later and install it so that i can get the drivers. hopefully that works. i will let you know what happens.
