Hello,

HP Deskjet 3320.
programmed deprecation: The ink cartridge is 80% full and has already worked. A message comes now that say it is not compatible.
There is a knack.
Good ideas, bright advice, assistance and answers welcome.
Thank you for helping me to make him swallow his ink.

Are you trying to tell us that you used a non HP cartridge in your Deskjet 3320 and that's why it quit? It's hard to understand quite what you're saying happened. If the cartridge is a genuine HP cartridge and you're getting that message, try cleaning the cartridge and re-insert it. If that doesn't work, your Deskjet may be defective.

Well, contacts are clean as news, on the printer & the cartridges. Nothing changed.
Even when in the utility options I chose to have only the color cartridge, A message comes always to say black ink cartridge is not compatible.
Printer doesn't print....

How old is the ink cartridge? Not when was it installed…but when was it purchased?

It's possible that the print head is defective, however, you might want to give HP support a call or email and ask them. There's always the possibility that the black cartridge is defective so you might want to try a new one before you give up on it. I know those cartridges are not inexpensive but you need to eliminate that as a possibility.

Hi,
thanks for answers. I see, the printer doesn't work much & yes the cartridge has almost 2 years....
What I can't understand is why when in the utility options I chose to have only the color cartridge, the printer doesn't print.... saying that black cartridge....

Some printers will not print if their circuitry thinks there is problem with the black cartridge. I have a Canon that will not [rint if either of the two black cartridges are missing/empty.

On my old Epson the go used to be to try and run Clean Nozzles. Up would come the incompatable message, but on the fourth or fifth go away it would run.

Most printer firmware is designed so that the color cartridges depend on the black cartridge working - assuming that whatever you need to print also needs black. (which is true) My Epson printer works the same way.
