How to stop pop up windows

Hello all my name is Steve. I am new. I decided to come here and ask this question because I have done all possible.. Gone to setting clicked all the buttons etc. Since I downloaded the new upgrade system I keep getting pop up windows to clean my mac? Does anyone know what that is all about.

First and foremost, welcome to the forums.
Second don't, EVER click of those pop ups, because they are more trouble than they are worth.
Third, to get rid of them, when in Safari, go to the menu bar and click Safari>Safari Extensions, and that will open another page up.
Under the Popular tab will be a Safari Ext called AdBlock, click the I stall button, and now you shouldn't get, any ads in your Safari pages, and hopefulky that should take the popups away for you.
