I'm about to upgrade to Tiger with my blue front G4 (agp graphics).
Everything seems fine except for a partitioned HD. how do i remove this phantom drive (for free)? It was originally set up like this by my uncle who
exclaims, "That's the way we did it in my day".
Still, it seems pointless and I want it gone.
Can anyone help? :eek:neye:

You have to repartition the whole drive to a single partition.

If you now have Tiger on there, either hold down Command + Shift + U on the finder desktop to open utiltities or navigate through macintosh HD > Applications > utilities.

Then go to Disk utility.

Partition tab :flower:

You can remove it from there.

Just to add if you have not got Tiger on there yet, boot the Tiger CD, then when the installer is loaded (once you selected your language) go to the Utlities menu and then Disk Utility.
