How long did it take to get Macbook from Apple?

I am going to be ordering a Macbook from Apple.com tonight and I was wondering how long it might take to get it from Apple. How long did it take you guys (or girls) who have one for it to show up on your door? Also, I am upgrading the HD and RAM. Thanks.

I ordered mine on Thurs, got it on Wed less than a week later.
I also upgraded RAM and HD.

I'm in Canada (west coast)

I ordered mine Friday, and FedEx is saying it expects it to be here by June 1st. Im guessing it will probably be here sooner than that. Last time I ordered I got it in two days and I didnt purchase Express shipping.

Doesn't Apple tell you an esimate of the shipping? Like 2-3 buisness days.

sure they do, but they also say 1-3 business days before it actually ships. I was curious what everyones real world experience had been.

got mine in 2 days. ordered tuesday night. shipped wednesday. came from china to alaska to indiana to texas and delivered friday morning. amazing...

Ordered mine on the day it came out. Said it was supposed to come one week later, recieved it in 3 days......

I ordered mine last Tuesday, paid extra for the express shipping, and still no sign of it...it's now a week later. I'm going to stay patient until later this afternoon and hope it shows up today. Although when I did the tracking on it, it's says it departed Indianapolis, Indiana on the 27th and it hasn't changed since. Also, it says I have the "2 day shipping" on Apple's site. This is the 3rd business day since it has shipped. If I paid for the express shipping and it doesn't show today do you think Apple would credit the money I paid for express since tomorrow will be the 4th business day since ship date and over a week from order date?

Update: I just checked the shipping info again through FedEx and it's here in the city. Not too bad I supposed considering it's coming from China.

I wouldn't pay extra for express shipping as normal shipping these days is pretty fast.

For what its worth:

I ordered mine on the 27th May, estimate delivery is the 7th June.

Well it showed up and I'm really impressed so far. I haven't done a lot with it other than get some of the software set up...I don't want to jinx anything, but so far it's been great. I had a MBP and in comparison the MBP had amazing fit and finish but the Macbook definitely does not slouch in this area...feels really well built. I've had PC products made by Asustek and their level of manufacturing has remained top notch.

Just as an added note...did anyone notice the lack of speaker "grills". The iBook had the little speaker openings up by the screen but the Macbook has them completely invisible. Surprisingly they get great sound. It appears that they project from the back of the base but project the sound off the screen somewhat. Neat idea

I am following my macbook now. I ordered it the night of the 27th. It shipped the same night and left China. It then went to Alaska then Tenessee and it left Tenessee quite awhile ago so I should be getting it tomorrow.

Well my Macbook arrived today but FedEx delivers at weird hours. They stopped by at 10AM. Im in school and my parents both work. We called them and they said we couldn't change the address because Apple wants it to go to exactly the same address it was ordered from. FedEx also said they would stop by between 10AM-12PM tomorrow but again who's home during those hours, so now I apparently have to wait until Friday.

This sucks. lol

Sometimes they will let you drop by the depot and pick up your parcel at your leisure....Not sure if that helps?

Just call FedEX and tell them you are coming to pick it up. The depot in my old area closed at 7PM.

i ordered mine last monday, with extra storage and ram. it was supposed to be here in 2-4 days, it's now been 10. i called them up and said there are none in australia, and it'll be another 2-3 weeks before i can expect it. i was disappointed.

I would but the "local" depot is 2.5 hours away from where I live. I think I'll be waiting till Friday. Only one more day to go!
