My friend was talking to me and he said he gained Gb from moving a folder Azureus(a torrent program). He said he moved it from documents to his HD and his Gb went from 4 Gb to 20Gb... how is it possible? i didn't see it yet he told me and i argued with him about it. so really how is that possible moving a folder to you HD.

Simply moving a folder will not add file size. Something more is afoot here.

Maybe he copied it instead of moving it...several times?

Well if you duplicate a 4GB folder 5 times, you'd end up with 20GB of files... admittedly that's highly unlikely

He must of copied it.
I had this on a memory stick where it retains the file sizes even after you have deleted the file, in the end you have to wipe it and start again but the stick says no files but the memory is full.
I would doubt this would happen on a drive though.

Thats because the files are still on the memory stick

The deleted fils are in a hidden folder called .Trashes

You can view your hidden files by downloading and installing a app called tinker tool.
