I have a new portable Arzopa monitor to use with my M1 MBA. I plugged it in, plugged power in, wired KB and mouse and booted it up with the lid closed and it came up on my Arzopa, no problem in clamshell mode. When I go to Display settings ONLY the Arzopa shows up as a monitor. When I open the lid however, the laptop reverts back to the built in screen as the main screen and the Arzopa is the extended screen. The problem here is that the desktop sits on the built in screen and I can't see that. I want to move the display settings over into the extended area on the Arzopa but can't click and drag it. And if I get the display settings there I want to set it so that the Arzopa is a mirror of the laptop display when NOT in clamshell mode, basically letting me see everything. This will allow me to just rest the Arzopa over the laptop display and use the built in kb and trackpad. Another wrinkle to this is that I've tried mirroring the MBA to my Mac Mini, which works and lets me use the Arzopa the way I want, but as soon as I turn off mirroring the Arzopa goes back to extended. Any advice, tips, tricks would be appreciated. I should add that when I used this same MBA with a Dell monitor this all worked in the past. I could open it and it would still show on my Dell, I could use the trackpad, the camera, everything. I don't remember what I did to make it work.
