@ brbrown As you are using apples Mail application there is no need for you to put up with the problem as you say and change things to the way you want. For the ordinary everyday "Bin" mailbox folder you have several choices such as change the name or delete an entirely, after archiving any mail you want of course. Assuming you are running as an Admin user, selecting the appropriate folder on the left and using right-click (or option click) should give you a drop-down option to "Rename the mailbox" or "Del;etye mailbox" along with several other choices. No super magic involved at all and pretty straightforward. Just do not delete a mailbox that contains email messages you might want to keep or archive obviously. Even if you possibly made a mistake which would be pretty hard, you do have a backup you can fall back on to use to recover anything don't you? 😉 It's your Mac and you can change it to the way you want within reason no need to put up with anything you don't need to. - Patrick =======
