can you hide files like in windows? and how do u find them again if you can , also *** do the different colours you can make files do ??? cheers in advance

you can hide a folder by putting a "." (dot) right before the first letter of the folder name. in order to get back to it you have to turn on hidden files with tinker tool or in the terminal or use the go to folder menu from finder.

Just to add that MainMenu and OnyX can set files as invisible or visible as well.

colors, i believe, can be used in conjunction with smart folders. like find all red folders in a smart folder. i just use them for organization.
