help with mail please

Could someone please steer me in the right direction please?
Every time I start my mac up my gmail opens.
Where can I change this?

I'm assuming that you access gmail via your internet browser. If so…is this because you have www.gmail.com as your internet browser's home page?

No Im using it in the mail app

I also have "Mail" setup to get all my email from my various email accounts (including Gmail)…so I'm not sure what you mean by "Every time I start my mac up my gmail opens."

Its Ok Ive sorted it, "Google" helped me
what I meant was when I switch on my Mac my gmail opened automatically on start up.
