Help with macbook pro

I don't know if this goes on this part of the boards sorry if not. I was using my macbook this morning and it was running sluggish so i turned it off and back on. When i got back on i preceded to open my programs that i was using i don't know if i opened to many at once or not (Ive never had this problem doing that before) but it kind of fluttered the screen went blank as in black not grey and started making the sound it does when it turns on but sounded like it was skiping like a CD. Now it wont turn on but just makes that noise and shows a black screen. Please if anyone knows what I'm talking about please help me know what it is. also i hit the capslock button to see if the green light came on and it wont so the key board might be broken as well. The screen stays black no matter what i try. Any ideas greatly appreciated

o nice i forgot about that im pretty sure i bought then when i bought my computer. Can u tell me a way to tell if i have it because i can't remember if i do i have a little booklet that says; Applecare service and support guide important info for your new apple product. But i dont know if thats just something that came with my computer.

http://www.apple.com/support/ at the bottom it says About your support coverage. you just type in your serial and it will say if you have it.

thanks i found out i do have it and am going to the mac store tommorow. Anyone know if they send the computer away or fix it there, and if they send it away how long does it take.
