Help! No Sound From Web!

Youtube videos, myspace songs, or almost all other streaming media is not producing any sound for me. Movie trailers through quicktime seem to work but nothing else. Sounds from my hard drive (itunes, or other media) play fine. I have tried updating quick time, flash player, and shockwave and have had no luck. Any suggestions would go a long way. Thanks in advance.

Open Garageband. Start a new project. Close garageband.

That fixes it somehow. Don't ask me how.

I wish I knew why, but it does fix the problem......

Its in the Audio MIDI Setup in applications-> utilities too. Some programs like audacity I think changed my settings and same issue. . It changed my audio format to more than 44100.0Hz 2ch-24bit. It must be a program you ran changed the settings.

Yes, come to think of it, this problem only started for me after I started using Audacity. I wonder if this is a bug in the program that can be fixed. I'm sure many newbie users that don't know about these forums are crying because there is no sound coming from their youtubes.
