    Therefore to clarify:

    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.

Hello, first post here. Am creating video on iPhone 6s and importing it to iMac to edit in movie and upload to you tube. Somewhere in the process it is minimizing the resolution and I am getting really crappy resolution uploaded from my new phone. Would love any suggestions to fix/ improve. apps on iPhone to edit and upload to you tube directly? reasons why this might be happening? Suggested fixes. My settings are set to record at highest resolution and plenty of space on my phone. HELP! am on a deadline and would love some expert feedback.

Well, the iPhone 6s can shoot 4K video, but I'm not sure (because you said nothing at all about what system you have on your iMac) what version of iMovie you have, but at a guess I'd say it can't handle 4K so you're probably working with a lower-resolution thumbnail that might or might not preserve the resolution once you're done working with it.

If you have the updated iMovie on the iPhone, you can edit it right there -- iMovie for iOS has of course been updated to handle the video the iPhone 6s can shoot. You might want to consider -- even though YouTube can deal with 4K -- rethinking the project to shoot/edit at 1080p, which will make the entire process smaller and faster.
