I'm installing a 2nd internal hard drive on my Power Mac G5, only to find there is no factory installed SATA cable - just a power connector. looks like they forgot to put it in!

So my question is: can I just purchase a standard SATA cable to connect my drive and, more importantly, where do I attach it on the motherboard??

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks bobtomay. I've watched that, but it says no cables are necessary because Apple provide the cables for you. However, I have only been provided with one of the two cables (the ones that pull out under the drive).

So I need to get one & find out where to plug it in.

Problem solved. The connections for the top & bottom drive were on the same cable - different to all the videos but it works!
