I did a migration with my wifes computer to share files and now my computer is not turning on. Wehn i hit the power button all i get is the apple symbol and a O with a slash thru it. Can you help me fix this without reloading the OS???

have you tried holding down the option key while you start up your computer?
it should bring you to a screen with your mac HD you can boot to. if not, i'm sorry, but i think you have to re-load the OS.
