If you're concerned about the money (who isn't) consider these options:</p><p></p><p>- buy a 1-2 year-old used Mac (e-Bay or Craig's List)</p><p>- buy a refurbished computer from Apple (generally saves you a couple to a few hundred bucks vs. new)</p><p>- buy a Mac-Mini instead of an iMac.
