I own a macbook early 2009 ( white one)
specifications
cpu: p7350 C2D 2.0 gb
Ram: 2gb
HDD: 120G
Graphic card: Nvidia 9400

A friend is proposing to trade with his Macbook Pro mid 2007
Specifications
cpu: T7500, C2D 2.2 gb
Ram: 2gb
HDD: 120gb
Graphic card: Nvidia Geforce 8600, 128mb

The problem is that I have never own a Macbook Pro before and I know that in this forum many people know apple computers better than me.
My question is: " Is it worth to trade? Will it be a downgrade? what will i gain?"

I must add that I use my computer mostly for internet, word, excel, matlab, CAD with Coreldraw and Illustrator.
Thank for your reply.

Your Mac's Specs
Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
Yours has a more vibrant display, and it's a much newer machine.
His has a larger display, dedicated graphics chip, firewire ports, separate in/out audio ports, cooler looking machine, but is much older.
How good a friend is he....... how honest is he about the machine, and if there have been any issues?
I would do the trade, but I have a late 2007 white Macbook!
I guess the question is why he wants to sell it!
